Description
The book describes the incredible victory of Indian soldiers sent by the Maharajas of Mysore and Jodhpur during First World War. Battle of Haifa is the only incidence in world history where Indian lancers equipped only with swords and lances defeated an army of Turks, Germans and Austrians armed with cannons and machine guns and well trenched on top of a hill.
The book was released by Israel Ambassador in Delhi Hon. Daniel Carmon and India’s defence Minister Hon Manohar Parrikar after verifying the facts in September 2016.
Hon Prime Minister Narendra Modi installed a plaque at Haifa war Memorial during his visit to Israel in 2017. Maharajas of Jodhpur and Mysore were invited to Israel and British Parliaments. Teen Murti Chowk in Delhi was renamed as Teen Murti HAIFA Chowk in 2018.
