About Ravi Kumar

Ravi Kumar, is a member of RSS All India Sampark (Out Reach) Team and is based in Mumbai. He is an RSS Pracharak (Full Time Social Worker) since 1975. He has travelled 45 countries to spread and consolidate the work of Hindu Swayamsewak Sangh, International Centre for Cultural Studies and Sewa International.

Ravi Kumar studied from Mumbai, Nasik, Pune, Nagpur and did his engineering from the prestigious Madras Institute of Technology, Chennai. While doing his engineering course, he served as All India Gen Secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in 1969-1970. He served in Tata Consulting Engineers and Larsen & Toubro as Project engineer for 5 years.

He resigned the job in 1975 and became a pracharak of RSS. He remained single and devoted himself to the welfare of the needy and all round development of youth. As a pracharak he was posted in Mumbai, Gujarat and Thane district.

Achievement

36 years (1982 to 2018) of Journey

For 36 years (1982 to 2018) he was working for Hindu Swayamsewak Sangh and travelled to 45 countries with head quarters in Hong Kong, Bangkok and Sydney.

  • In 1988 Ravi Kumar organised World Hindu Conference at Singapore. It was attended by many Swamijis, Dy. PM of Singapore, Hindu Ministers from Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Nepal and delegates from 25 countries. A surprise visitor was the President of Republic of Singapore, Hon Dewan Nair.
  • In 1990s he organized large scale Lord Buddha Exhibitions at three cities in Thailand. These were appreciated by Ministers, Ambassadors and leading monks. One of the surprise visitors was the Vice President of Thailand (Chief of Privy Council) Hon. Sanya Dharma Sakdi.
  • In 1997, he was invited by British Royal Society of New Zealand to address the scholars on ‘India’s Contribution in Mathematics’. His lecture and Question-Answer Session went on for two and half hours at their request.
  • In 2019, he was invited by TEDx to present a paper on ‘Economical ways to overcome Child Mortality Rates’.
  • In 2020 he was invited by The Institute of Charted Accountants of India, Bengaluru and Pune to conduct workshops for thousands of practicing Charted Accountants.
  • Ravi Kumar was instrument in running over 100 shakhas and raising 7 Pracharaks (full-time social workers) and 1 pracharika in an Islamic Malaysia.
  • Over 100,000 students participate in Annual India Science Talent Examinations in Gulf Countries.
  • Over 20,000 Hindus participate in Annual Diwali Celebrations in Sydney. It is attended by many Australian ministers.
  • Ravi Kumar’s Team’s efforts to reduce Suicide Rates among Hindus of CAMERON HIGHLANDS was appreciated by UNITED NATIONS and Malaysian Government.
  • Ravi Kumar organized Blood Donation Drives in Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti.

What He Did as Author

Finding new ways of bringing true Events

Ravi Kumar has conducted hundreds of camps and seminars in 40 countries on Indian Heroism in Israel, Yoga, Hindu Influence Around the World, Ramayan Around the World and Modern India’s Achievements. He has also conducted over 500 workshops on Vedic Mathematics in schools, colleges, Universities around the world. Ravi Kumar has promoted Indian traditional games in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

  • Ravi Kumar has penned six books – Glimpses of Hindu Genius, Ramayan Around the World, Hindu Renaissance in Indonesia, Yoga – Bharat’s Invaluable Gift to the World, Indian Heroism in Israel and Vedic Mathematics. These have been translated into Hindi, Gujarati, Kannad, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu. Presently he is writing a book on Tamil Wisdom (Tamil’s contribution to Hindu Genius and Development of the World).
  • His book YOGA, Bharat’s Invaluable Gift to the World has a message from Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and was released by India’s Foreign Minister Hon. Sushma Swaraj ji at New York on the First International Day of Yoga in 2015. It was later released in Hong Kong by Hon Lal Krishna Advani ji, In Delhi by then Home Minister Hon. Rajnath Singh, at Dubai by classical and devotional Singer KJ Yesudas, at Bangkok by Ambassador Harsh Vardhan Shringla (present Foreign Secretary) and at Kuala Lumpur by T.S.Tirumurti (present Permanent Representative of India to United Nations).
  • His book Indian Heroism in Israel based on capture of Port city of Haifa in Israel has inspired many military generals, politicians and is used in many schools as a reference book. The book was released after verifying the facts by India’s Defense Minister Hon. Manohar Parrikar and Israel Ambassador Daniel Carmon on Haifa Day 23 Sept 2016. After release of this book, Indian and Israeli Prime Ministers paid their respects to Indian soldiers at the War Memorial in Haifa, Israel in July 2017 and at Teen Murty Haifa Chowk in January 2018 and House of Lords, London honored soldiers’ families in July 2018. The Kannada book was released by HH Maharaja of Mysuru and HH Jodhpur Maharaja received a copy of Hindi book from the author. In Jammu the book was released by Subedar Major and Honorary Captain Bana Singh, recipient of Param Veer Chakra.

  • Ravi Kumar is a powerful orator in English, Hindi and Tamil and is conversant with Marathi.
